Ok the Question is Asked What is a Telomere? First think DNA and chromosomes. At both ends of every strand of DNA in a a human cell something called a telomere. Telomeres could be described as looking like the tail of a kite. The function of Telomeres is to prevent chromosomes from becoming frayed, fusing into rings, or binding with other DNA strands. (One way to think of Telomeres is they are like the plastic tips on the end of shoelaces that keeps them from unraveling.)

Ok so Next What Causes Telomeres to Become Shorter? From the time you are conceived as an embyro each time a cell divides the telomeres in your DNA get shorter, this is part of your body’s normal aging process. (Side note - because your cells divide so much prior to birth, the length of your telomeres is only about 2/3 as long at birth as they were right after conception.)

In the early 1970s, Russian theorist Alexei Olovnikov first recognized that chromosomes could not completely replicate their ends. Olovnikov suggested that DNA sequences are lost every time a cell/DNA replicates until the loss reaches a critical level, at which point cell division ends. In 2009 Elizabeth Blackburn, Carol Greider, and Jack Szostak were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of how chromosomes are protected by telomeres...

5. If I’m using Product B, will I still need to use the Essentials?
